• Birds range from 4kg to 9kg
• Allow 500g of bird weight per person approx

• Hung for 2–3 weeks to tenderise the meat and enhance its flavour 
• Fresh turkeys are available for a limited period for Christmas delivery, or the same premium quality birds are available frozen for the rest of the year

For a flavoursome turkey with a slight gamey taste, our free-range Bronze turkeys are the perfect choice. These turkeys are slightly smaller and slower growing than the white turkeys and, as a result, are a little more expensive.  But, the later maturity of these breeds does offer a richer flavour.  These turkeys enjoy a very happy and healthy free-range life with a natural and varied diet at Oli Parker’s farm near Bramfield. 

Bronze turkeys are the result of crossing Blacks with North American wild turkeys and were the most popular choice for Christmas until White turkeys started being mass produced.

Size, Storage and Cooking Guidance:
Fresh turkeys are best stored at 4°C or below.   For frozen turkeys, defrost thoroughly before cooking.
