Our braising steak is a slow cooker’s best friend for a tender and flavoursome casseroled steak. Inexpensive, this is a thrifty cut from a hard working muscle, but when cooked slowly it’ll melt-in-the-mouth. Dice for a stew or cook the steaks whole for braisied steaks in gravy.
“Brown the steaks first, then add them to onions, garlic, tomato puree, thyme, bay leaf and stock into casserole dish. Cook slowly for 75 – 90 minutes, thicken the gravy with cornflour/mustard mix and serve”
