Our stunning fresh, Cornish or Scottish mackerel are a wonderful way to enjoy oily fish. Packed with Omega 3, vitamins B12, D and high in protein, they are one of nature’s true superfoods. Best cooked simply, either baked, grilled or pan-fried, their flavoursome meat is best suited to dishes including seasonal fruits such as rhubarb or gooseberry, which cuts through the fats and compliments the flavour beautifully.Â
For best results: Score the flanks of the fish and season liberally inside and out with coarse sea salt and black pepper, before cooking. Heads may be left on depending on size
