Making the best sandwiches ever, smoked salt beef – known as pastrami – is the favourite sandwich with New Yorkers who eat it on rye bread with mustard and a dill pickle. This joint is not smoked (after all, we’re British!) but just as good in sandwiches or with a salad finely sliced.
Tip: If you like it hot, reheat by placing the joint in simmering water for 10 -20 mins (depending on size)
